"Boschi Parlanti" Accessibility Project

“Boschi Parlanti” (“Talking Woods”) is an innovative system designed to let blind and partially sighted people discover the history of the Via Francigena and of the “Monte Mario” and “Insugherata” nature reserves. Through the app, users can explore the routes and listen to audio descriptions with information, curiosities and suggestions, thanks to a creative use of the GPS technology built into smartphones. As well as the app, the project includes a website for listening to the audio content from home and the production of information signs in Braille.
