Cookie policy

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or profiling tools. Until you press “play” on a YouTube video, the pages contact no external service: fonts, images, scripts and video previews all come from our own domain.
This is why we do not ask for your consent when you arrive on the site: we ask for it only before loading a YouTube video. The note that appears on your first visit is only there to point you to these pages.
This page complements the privacy notice, where you will find who the data controller is, how to contact us and what your rights are.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a site saves in your browser so that it can find them again on later visits. The same rules apply to similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage), which this site uses instead of cookies.
The law (art. 122 of the Codice privacy and the Garante’s Guidelines of 10 June 2021) distinguishes two cases:
- technical tools, which are needed to run the site or to provide a service you asked for, such as remembering the theme you chose: they do not require consent, informing you is enough;
- all other tools, for example for profiling or for non-anonymous analytics, whether our own or third-party: they can be used only with your consent, given beforehand.
This site uses only technical tools. Third-party cookies can come only from the YouTube player, and only after your consent.
What this site saves
No cookies. In your browser’s local storage the site saves only these preferences, and only when you make the corresponding choice. They stay on your device: they are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they are not used to recognise you.

The server that hosts the site also records some technical data about each visit (logs), for security: this data is not saved on your device and is described in the privacy notice.
The “Read aloud” tool in the accessibility panel uses the voices installed on your device. Some browsers, if they have none for the language of the page, use online voices provided by their maker (for example Google or Microsoft): in that case the text of the page is sent to that service, under its own rules. The site receives nothing.
YouTube videos
Some videos of projects, formats and articles are hosted on YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited. Until you press “play”, nothing is loaded from YouTube: you only see a preview hosted on our site.
By pressing “play” you agree that the YouTube player is loaded, in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). From that moment Google receives your IP address and some technical data about your browser, and may save cookies and similar data on your device, including for its own purposes. It does so as an independent controller, under its privacy policy and its cookie policy.
In the video frames of projects and formats your choice is remembered (consenso-youtube): from then on, YouTube videos load on their own when they come into view, always without sound, and appear when you hover over the project cards. For videos inside articles, on the other hand, the player loads only for the video you start.
Google may transfer the data to the United States: Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised as adequate by the European Commission.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, with the button at the bottom of this page. Withdrawal applies from then on: the data YouTube has already saved in your browser remains until you delete it in your browser settings (site data for youtube-nocookie.com and youtube.com).
The other videos on the site, the ones that start on their own on the home page and in the format cards, are our own files: no third parties are involved.
Links to other sites
On the site you will find links to LinkedIn, WhatsApp and the sites of our formats (Open Tale©, World on Wall©, Sof.IA©, Qr Guide). They are plain links: no share buttons or other content from these services are loaded on our pages. When you open them you enter another site, with its own cookies and privacy policy.
Withdrawing consent and deleting preferences
With the buttons below you can withdraw your consent to YouTube videos, or delete all the preferences this site has saved in your browser: the site goes back to how it was on your first visit.
You can also delete the site’s data, or block cookies and local storage, in your browser settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Site data”. The site still works: it simply does not remember your choices. Preferences apply only to the browser and device you are using.
